Maine Red Claws guard Tremont Waters continues to impress in his first season with the organization.
For the second time this season, Waters has been named the NBA G League Player of the Week after averaging 23.5 points, 10.5 assists and 3.0 steals in three games last week. The 22-year-old's week was highlighted by a 30-point performance against the Capital City Go-Go on Thursday and a 14-assist night against the Grand Rapids Drive on Saturday.
Not only has Waters won Player of the Week honors twice, but he also won G League Player of the Month back in November after leading the team to a 6-2 record to start the season.
Waters landed a two-way contract with the Boston Celtics after being drafted by the organization in 2019. He's made five appearances for the Celtics this season, averaging 4.4 points and one assist per game in that small sample size.
If the Connecticut native can translate his stellar play to the NBA in the future, he's bound to succeed.
