Red Bull will host the Capcom Pro Tour North American Regional Finals at Red Bull Battle Grounds in Seattle from November 4-6, the company announced Wednesday.
The event will bring CPT Ranking Event winners and qualifiers to the Seattle Exhibition Hall to compete for a spot at the Capcom Cup in December. It is one of four regional finals, the other being Asia, Latin America, and Europe.
Currently, Chris Tatarian, Echo Fox’s Julio Fuentes, and Evil Geniuses’ Justin Wong have qualified for the NA regional final by winning CPT Ranking Events. Because Wong has dominated the competition by winning the last four CPT Ranking Events, qualifying spots go to the next highest placing player who hasn’t already qualified.
Players who have also qualified include Panda Global’s Ryan “Filipino Champ” Ramirez, Team Liquid’s Du “NuckleDu” Dang, and Peter “Flash” Susini.
In addition to the CPT NA Regional Finals, Red Bull will host a series of Street Fighter V qualifying events called Red Bull Proving Grounds. Amateur players will compete in regional qualifiers in Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Toronto. Four winners from each region will then compete at the Red Bull Santa Monica eSports Studio in October for a shot to play at the Red Bull Battle Grounds Finals.
