RECRUITING SPOTLIGHT: 2025 WR, Alabama commit Ryan Williams

When the lights turn on, the stars shine. That is exactly what 2025 wide receiver and Alabama commit Ryan Williams did last Friday night. The Saraland Spartans played host to nationally-ranked Lipscomb Academy.

That did not stop Williams from putting on a show. Despite being shadowed by Tennessee commit Kaleb Beasley, Williams still found ways to make plays.

Williams hauled in six receptions for 97 receiving yards and one touchdown on the night. In overtime, Williams displayed his versatility as he took a direct snap and scampered left for the go-ahead touchdown in overtime. Moments later, the Spartans won 31-30 on a botched extra point by Lipscomb Academy.

Williams has been a prospect that Alabama fans are eager to see in Tuscaloosa. While nothing has come of it, there have been rumors that Williams will re-classify to the 2024 recruiting class. Meaning, he would bypass his senior season and enroll early at Alabama.

Williams is ranked as a five-star by every recruiting service. His skillset and playmaking abilities certainly help him stand out. Alabama is excited to have Williams on board alongside fellow four-star commit and 2025 wide receiver Jaime Ffrench Jr. The two will be expected to do big things in Tuscaloosa once they arrive on campus.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Alabama football recruits throughout the high school football season.
