When Florida State finally hosts a home game on Sept. 23 after canceling the Louisiana-Monroe game and postponing its showdown with Miami, the Seminoles' recruiting efforts for 2018 will really begin to heat up.

In the meantime, our Michael Langston held a recruiting chat Wednesday night to discuss the latest on the Seminoles' efforts -- which players have been in contact with the 'Noles, who are the top prospects at various positions and more.

Among other topics, Michael discussed:

* Whether five-star QB Justin Fields is expected to attend the rescheduled FSU-Miami game on Oct. 7.

* How much contact the Seminoles are getting from four-star WR prospects Warren Thompson and Jaylen Waddle.

* The latest he's hearing on five-star CB Patrick Surtain.

* Is FSU a factor for four-star Georgia defensive end Adam Anderson?

* How much the Seminoles are hearing from five-star RB James Cook's family and more.
