The real Anna Delvey just shared her reaction to Inventing Anna, and it's a lot

Netflix's Inventing Anna had us all very much gripped by the true story of fake heiress and convicted fraudster Anna Delvey.

Though the series was based on real events, its release saw some backlash from those portrayed in the show, including the likes of Anna Delvey's friend, Rachel DeLoache Williams, who recently hit out at the drama.

Now, Anna Delvey herself has shared her reaction to Inventing Anna - with the conwoman reportedly paid a pretty hefty amount over the rights to turn her story into a series.

Though Anna was released from prison in February 2021, she currently remains in ICE custody after overstaying her visa in the US. While still in detention, Anna watched scenes from the Netflix show with Cosmopolitan US reporter Emily Palmer - sharing her reaction in the process.

Anna told Cosmopolitan, "I don't think I ordered people around as much. I think I'm more self-aware of the way I come across. Not all the time, but I just don't think I'm so brazen and shameless."

She went on, "I personally moved on a very long time ago and I'm absolutely not in the same place, but I'm also being affected by the way the world sees me and by what people think of me. I exist in relation to everybody else and to the world, I don't just exist on my own."

The conwoman added, "I did move on in some aspects. But in some others, I'm still in the same place." Watch her full response below:
