RCTC softball team drops pair of games Tuesday on Florida trip

Mar. 6—VIERA, Fla. — The Rochester Community and Technical College softball team dropped a pair of games during its spring trip to Florida on Tuesday.

The Yellowjackets played two different teams Tuesday. They opened with a 7-6 setback to Muskegon Community College and then dropped a 12-0 contest to Bryant and Stratton College.

Bailey Monson went 2-for-3 with an RBI in the game against Muskegon while Zoey Clark was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

Clark pitched the first six innings and she allowed six runs on 12 hits. Tayler Draeger suffered the loss when she allowed a run on two hits in the seventh inning.

Clark collected RCTC's lone hit in the loss to Bryant and Stratton. Draeger suffered the loss alloweing seven runs on six hits in 2 2/3 innings. Clark allowed five runs on nine hits over two innings.

RCTC (2-6) continues its spring trip with two more games on Wednesday.
