The Los Angeles Lakers followed up their cathartic NBA bubble-opening win over the Los Angeles Clippers with a resounding thud. The Lakers' second game in Disney World saw them fall 107-92 in a rough loss to the defending champion Toronto Raptors. While 14 points from Anthony Davis and 20 points form LeBron James wasn't ideal, the bigger problem was the Lakers' supporting cast.
Jim “Bones” Mackay, Mickelson's former caddie of 25 years, will be on the bag for Mickelson's playing competitor in the third-to-final pairing, Justin Thomas. Coincidentally, the last tournament that Mickelson played with Bones on his bag was the FedEx St. Jude Classic at TPC Southwind, which is now in its second season of hosting a WGC.

Mookie Betts might be the best player in baseball not named Mike Trout, and the Los Angeles Dodgers paid him accordingly in locking him up with the second-largest contract in MLB history. He's going to be in Dodger blue for the next decade-plus, and that's an unfortunate reality for the rest of the league, but specifically the teams in the NL West. As the Dodgers archrival, one could argue the Giants will feel the resulting pain more than anyone.
Cincinnati Reds pitcher Trevor Bauer has never been one to hold back his thoughts. In a pair of tweets, Bauer criticized how the situation was handled, calling it an “amateur” move while calling on Major League Baseball to figure out a better way to handle weather delays. That didn't take long. One week and two appearances into the season, Craig Kimbrel has pitched his way out of the Cubs' closer role, underscoring the bullpen turmoil that figures to be a storyline as long as this scheduled 60-game season lasts. Not that it's even a question worth answering after a four-walk, hit-batter performance in his first appearance and the back-to-back homers he allowed in the second on Friday night.
Check out this incredible act of kindness he displayed for the family of Jack Roche, the former Kansas football equipment manager who was killed in a car accident in July at just 21 years old: Roche, who according to Trubisky's letter was a big Bears fan and a Trubisky-backer, was beloved by the Kansas football community. Trubisky is a good guy. He treats the media with respect, he has the support of his teammates in the locker room, and it's pretty obvious that Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy want him to emerge victorious this summer.

He's one of those guys who has got so much talent and athletic ability, you're trying to find a place for him,” Arians said, via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.
