Ravens named as a top landing spot for two big-name WRs by Bleacher Report

The Baltimore Ravens were expected to take a hard look at their wide receiver room during the 2023 offseason based off of comments by head coach John Harbaugh and general manager Eric DeCosta at their end of season press conference. While free agency began just over one week ago, there hasn’t been much movement from Baltimore’s side of things as they continue to navigate the situation with quarterback Lamar Jackson.

When listing out top landing spots for veteran wide receivers either via free agency or trade, Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report put down the Ravens as fits for two options. He first linked Baltimore to Odell Beckham Jr., where he referenced a report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler about the team being present at Beckham’s workout a few weeks ago.

“The Ravens shouldn’t be discounted. Per Fowler, their scouts were at his workout earlier in March, and signing him could create some goodwill between them and their franchise-tagged quarterback Lamar Jackson.”

Ballentine then named the Ravens as a landing spot for Denver Broncos wideout Cortland Sutton. He mentions how since Baltimore only has five picks in the 2023 draft, Sutton’s asking price could be better for them than fellow Denver wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, who’s rumored return could be a first-round selection.

“The Ravens only have five draft picks in the 2023 event. So trading away a first-rounder is not ideal for them, but the asking price for Sutton would be more doable.”
