Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith and his family are safe after an incident where they were reportedly robbed at gunpoint after being followed from LAX Airport to their hotel.
None of the family was hurt in the incident Tuesday night, which was first reported by Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.

“We are aware of the situation involving Jimmy Smith,” the Ravens said in a statement Friday afternoon. “We have spoken with Jimmy, and he and his family are safe.”
Smith, 32, has spent his entire career with the Ravens after being drafted in 2011 and signed an extension to keep him in Baltimore for another season in 2021.
