Fan collapses and dies at Ravens playoff game

A male fan collapsed on the steps of M&T Bank Stadium’s upper deck and died during the Baltimore Ravens’ playoff loss to the Tennessee Titans on Saturday, according to the Baltimore Sun.

The team confirmed the death on Sunday.

“We can confirm there was an incident last night at the stadium where a fan collapsed while walking on the steps of the upper deck,” a Ravens spokesman said. “Medical personnel arrived quickly, but attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful. We expect to have more information later.”

Not much else is known about the fan, as Baltimore police commissioner Michael Harrison reportedly said the fall was reported as an accident and therefore didn’t have any information on his end.

This is the second death in less than a month on the M&T Bank Stadium grounds, and the third in less than a year. A body was found in a porta-potty on Dec. 15 last year, and a person died after being engulfed in flames while running out of another portable toilet last February.
