Ravens don’t cancel Friday practice, as originally scheduled originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
After a mentally exhausting Thursday of social justice meetings, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said he altered the team's original plans to cancel practice on Friday, to instead have a walkthrough.
We didnt really cancel practice, Harbaugh said, but we did change the schedule around. Weve we got a scrimmage tomorrow, so I think the events, conversations, emotions were something that the players talked about. The fact that were gonna scrimmage tomorrow, we were in padded practices a couple days in a row...theyre a little bit fatigued. All those things went into play.
Saturdays team scrimmage at M&T Bank Stadium will be the Ravens' closest approximation to a preseason game, which for all NFL teams, were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. As the team now transitions into an in-season schedule, Harbaugh is confident in his team's progression through camp as Week 1 draws near.
"We feel really good about where were at. We feel like were as far along from a football standpoint that we could be. Weve had no drag. Weve overcome whatever adversity thats been present. Well find out soon enough in September where were at.
