Ravens add Georgia DB in way-too-early 2024 NFL mock draft by Bleacher Report

The Baltimore Ravens just concluded putting together an impressive six-player rookie class over the course of 2023 draft weekend. However, some are already putting together 2024 mock drafts where team continue to add young talent.

In a “way-too-early” 2024 NFL mock draft, Matt Holder of Bleacher Report has Baltimore taking a star defensive back from the University of Georgia in Javon Bullard at pick No. 22. When explaining why, Holder mentioned Bullard’s versatility, while also mentioning that the contract of star cornerback Marlon Humphrey has a potential out after the 2023 season ends.

“Even if they keep Humphrey, the Ravens could use an upgrade over Brandon Stephens at the other starting corner spot and more secondary depth as a whole. Georgia’s Javon Bullard could provide both, as he’s taken snaps at both corner and safety during his time in Athens…Bullard can impact the game in multiple ways, as he logged seven tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and two interceptions last year. The Ravens would love his versatility, and the Bulldog would pair nicely with Humphrey, Kyle Hamilton and Marcus Williams in their defensive backfield.”

While it’s not likely that the Ravens part ways with Humphrey following 2023, Baltimore values their defensive back room and are always looking to add talent. Bullard could be the latest secondary prospect that the Ravens spends a high-draft pick on, and he would add talent to an already talented room.
