Marcus Rashford's difficult season took another turn on Sunday.

The forward came under more scrutiny over the weekend having been unavailable for Manchester United's FA Cup win over Newport County after reporting ill during the week.

Questions were raised when pictures emerged on social media of Rashford at a nightclub in Northern Ireland on Wednesday and attending a Larne FC game on Thursday, with boss Erik ten Hag calling the situation an "internal matter" in his post-match news conference.

This comes during a campaign where the 26-year-old has struggled to match his scintillating performances of last season where 30 goals in all competitions helping lead the Red Devils to Carabao Cup glory and Champions League football.

In 2023-24, he has scored just four times in his 26 total appearances - his Premier League stats above starkly illustrating the drop-off in form.

While questions around Rashford are far from the only issue at United, what to do about the situation will be high on Ten Hag's ever-growing list of concerns.
