Former Portland Trail Blazer Rasheed has been named the boy’s basketball head coach of Good Better Best Academy High School, located in North Carolina.

The school announced the hiring of the 16-year NBA veteran via Twitter.

A year after retiring, Wallace spent a season as an assistant coach with the Detroit Pistons, a team he spent five seasons with and won a championship.

Wallace took a five-year break before returning to coaching at Charles E. Jordan High School in Durham, North Carolina.

Coaching is in Wallace’s blood and is doing his part teaching the game to high schoolers.
