Rangers winger Artemi Panarin is dealing with what head coach Gerard Gallant called a "minor lower-body injury."

Panarin left Wednesday's win over the Coyotes in Arizona after accumulating seven minutes of ice time.

Gallant labeled Panarin "day-to-day."

When asked if he's confident the injury would be a short-term thing, Gallant said, "Yeah, but who knows."

After the game, Mika Zibanejad talked about losing Panarin.

"In the middle of the game, you see that happening, you know that on the bench," Zibanejad said, per Mollie Walker of The New York Post. "You don’t want to lose anyone, but obviously him and his caliber it’s tough to lose him.

"But at the same time, we got to do a job and try to — you can’t really fill that void. You don’t have a guy like Artemi, rarely. I wouldn’t say anyone in the league is like him. You just got to do it collectively and just whoever plays in that spot just do the best of his ability and just keep going."

Panarin has nine goals and 24 assists in 29 games this season, with a +/- of 5.
