The Rangers announced that they signed 2019 fourth-round pick Hunter Skinner to an entry-level contract.

The 19-year-old defenseman will report to the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack and remain there for the season - his ELC will begin in the 2021-22 season.

Skinner won a gold medal with Team USA in the IIHF World Junior Championship and played with ECHL's Utah Grizzlies this season, where his seven goals rank third among ECHL defensemen.

He played with the OHL's London Knights in the 2019-20 season, where he ranked 13th among OHL defensemen in plus/minus rating, and he was tied for third among OHL defensemen who were in their U19 season or younger in plus/minus rating during the season.
