Rangers center Greg McKegg will not skate in the team’s practice on Monday due to a COVID-19 protocol-related absence.

The 29-year-old was recently recalled to the club after Sammy Blais tore his ACL in the Nov. 14 matchup against the Devils. McKegg had been reassigned to Hartford earlier this month.

The Rangers’ next game is Wednesday against the Philadelphia Flyers. The team’s game on Sunday was postponed due to the COVID outbreak that has occurred within the Islanders’ organization.

The Rangers faced the Isles on Nov. 24, but McKegg did not play in that game. The last game McKegg played in was on Nov. 5 against the Edmonton Oilers.

McKegg has gone scoreless so far this season.
