The NHL announced on Wednesday night that Sunday’s matchup between the Rangers and Flyers has been postponed.
Per the league’s release, the Flyers currently have three players in the NHL’s COVID-19 protocols, though it is expected the Flyers will be able to reopen their facility on Monday.
The Rangers-Flyers matchup that is now postponed was a game that had already been shifted, as the league had moved it up from next Tuesday to Sunday as part of sizable rescheduling of games due in large part to the Devils having double-digit players on the league’s COVID list.
With the postponement on Sunday, the Rangers will play a pair of games against the Boston Bruins on Wednesday and Friday before facing the Devils next Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Madison Square Garden.
