They might be "close," but Rangers' Artemi Panarin and K'Andre Miller won't be available for Tuesday's matchup against the Devils, head coach David Quinn said.

Panarin has been dealing with a lower-body injury, but was present at practice on Tuesday. He had missed three straight prior to that.

"Unless he comes in [Tuesday] champing at the bit and takes a pregame skate, then the chances are zero he’ll play,” Quinn said about Panarin. “So we’ll see. If he comes back, feels really good and wants to skate in the morning and feels good, then we’ll make a decision then. It won’t necessarily mean he’ll play but there’ll be a conversation.”

Miller has been rehabbing an upper-body injury that kept him limited in Monday's practice. Quinn said it was "precautionary reasons" that had him taken off the ice before the rest of the team.

In the meantime, Colin Blackwell might be able to take over Panarin's spot on the top line since he returned late last week. Libor Hajek and Anthony Bitetto would be the fill-ins for Miller as well.
