One of the Rangers’ restricted free agents will be back with the team next season.
Phillip Di Giuseppe has agreed to terms with the Blueshirts, the team announced on Tuesday. What exactly his deal looks like hasn’t been disclosed yet.
Di Giuseppe saw his time split between the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL) and Rangers last season. In 20 games with New York, he tallied one goal and three assists with a +7 mark while on the ice. In Hartford, he had 14 goals and 12 assists.
A second-round pick by the Carolina Hurricanes back in 2012, Di Giuseppe played parts of four seasons with them before he was placed on waivers. The Nashville Predators picked him up during the 2018-19 season, where he only played in three games with the club.
In 2019, the Rangers signed Di Giuseppe to a one-year, two-way deal.
