Rams doctor told Odell Beckham Jr. he didn’t have an ACL when he signed in 2021
Odell Beckham Jr. has had knee trouble during his career. He tore his ACL while with the Browns and then in Super Bowl LVI, he suffered the same injury. It caused him to miss the entire 2022 season after winning a ring with the Rams.
It took him a while to find a new team but this offseason, he signed with the Ravens. During his introductory press conference on Thursday, Beckham talked about his ACL injuries. He said he’s treating it like only one torn ACL instead of two because when he joined the Rams in 2021, he didn’t have an ACL in one of his knees. That’s what team doctor Neal ElAttrache told Beckham when he signed with Los Angeles.
This was despite having ACL surgery in 2020, which was apparently a poorly performed procedure that was corrected by his most recent surgery.
Odell Beckham Jr. says he was playing in Los Angeles without a functional ACL, even before his second tear. He still shined in the playoffs.

Beckham proceeded to play his entire Rams tenure without a functional ACL before suffering the injury in the Super Bowl against the Bengals. He previously tweeted that he played the second half of the season without an ACL, but now we know how he found out about it.
It was because the Rams’ team doctor told him.
