Rams agree to sign LB Wilson to 1-year deal

The Los Angeles Rams agreed to terms on a one-year contract with inside linebacker Ramik Wilson, the team announced Thursday night.

Wilson, 25, played his first three NFL seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, who selected him in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Georgia.

In 30 career games, Wilson has notched 112 tackles and one interception. He recorded a career-best 76 tackles in 2016, when he started 11 of 16 games for the Chiefs. He also started the first four games of the 2017 season before giving way to Reggie Ragland in early October.

Originally slated to be a restricted free agent this offseason, Wilson became unrestricted once the Chiefs decided not to tender him a contract.

The Rams are seemingly restocking at inside linebacker after trading starter Alec Ogletree to the New York Giants earlier this month.
