The Raiders made an earth-shattering roster move, just ahead of the 2021 NFL draft. Well, not really. However, they did make a semi-important one.

The team re-signed placekicker Daniel Carlson, who was a restricted free agent. The teams of the deal were not announced, but the Raiders did place the second-round tender on Carlson in March. That deal is expected to be worth around $3.4 million.

Carlson joined the Raiders in 2018 after he was released by the Vikings in his rookie season. Since joining the team, he has made 87.2 percent of his kicks and had a career year in 2020, making 94.3 percent of his tries. He’s also made 103 of his 107 extra points despite missing two last season.

Carlson will be a free agent after the 2021 season, but the Raiders would love to lock him up to a long-term deal at some point this year. In any case, the Raiders will get back their stud kicker for at least one more year.
