The Las Vegas Raiders announced they have fired General Manager Mike Mayock after three seasons and will begin a search for a coach and GM.

The Las Vegas Raiders interviewed Cincinnati Bengals scout Trey Brown for their general-manager vacancy, according to a report Friday via Twitter from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Tuesday night via Twitter that the Raiders contacted the Bengals to request an interview with Brown.

Earlier this week, the Raiders fired Mike Mayock - their GM since 2019 - two days after the team's playoff loss Saturday to the Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium.

The Bengals added Brown to their player personnel department last June.

Brown previously has interviewed for the Raiders' GM job, as well as the same position with the Buffalo Bills.

Brown was the Philadelphia Eagles' director of college scouting, as well as a West Coast scout for the New England Patriots. He also has served as director of football operations for the Birmingham Iron of the Alliance of American Football and director of player personnel for the XFL's St. Louis BattleHawks.

In St. Louis, Brown worked with former Bengals tight ends coach Jonathan Hayes, the BattleHawks' GM and head coach in 2020.
