Should Raiders RB Devontae Booker be in your starting lineups in Week 13?

The status of Josh Jacobs for Week 13 is officially in question. In the team’s Week 12 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Jacobs sustained an ankle injury that forced him to leave that contest. While Jacobs has been adamant that he will be ready for this game, it’s noteworthy that he missed practice on Wednesday.

If Jacobs can’t go, it would be veteran running back Devontae Booker taking his spot in the lineup. Booker has been incredibly solid this season despite not seeing a ton of work. But he could be a great option in fantasy or DFS leagues this week if he gets the start.

In a recent piece by ESPN’s beat writers, they discussed a few running backs that must be in your lineups this week. That included Booker, even if Jacobs is active for this game. Here is why the site is so bullish on the former Broncos’ star in Week 13:

“Josh Jacobs’ ankle sprain should create a bigger workload for Booker, who is averaging 5.5 yards per carry on 59 attempts. The Jets are actually respectable against the run, but it’s the Jets — and big plays will be allowed. Las Vegas typically sticks with the run, averaging 29.2 attempts per game.”

Keep an eye on the status of Jacobs throughout the week. While he could theoretically play without practicing this week, the Raiders might be wise to give him the week off. If that is the case, Booker would be a must-start in his replacement in a great matchup against the Jets.
