Raiders have one of the NFL’s most difficult schedules in 2023

If the Raiders are going to make the playoffs during the 2023 season, they are going to have to do it the hard way. The AFC looks to be as strong as ever and the AFC West has the Super Bowl champions in the Kansas City Chiefs.

For that reason alone, the Raiders will have a tough schedule in 2023. But just how hard is their schedule heading into the year?

In a recent article by Amelia Probst of Pro Football Focus, she ranked every team’s schedule for the 2023 season. The Raiders ranked at No. 27 as they have the sixth-hardest schedule in the NFL. Here is what Probst had to say about the 2023 schedule for the Raiders:

The Raiders have a late bye in Week 13, after which they have three divisional games — they don’t get much of a break this season.

The Raiders will take on the AFC East, which just so happens to be the other division in the conference that is deep. With games in Buffalo and Miami, the Raiders will be lucky to go 2-2 against that division.

If the Raiders do make the playoffs, we will know that they really deserved that spot. With a tough game on the schedule nearly every week, the Raiders couldn’t have asked for a harder schedule during the 2023 season.
