Raiders' Josh Jacobs arrested on DUI charge, sustains minor injuries

Raiders running back Josh Jacobs was involved in a single-car accident near the McCarran airport in Las Vegas early Monday morning, and has been charged with driving under the influence, according to Las Vegas Metro Police via ESPN's Paul Gutierrez.

Jacobs was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries and treated before being booked into Clark County Detention Center, where he was given a DUI charge, LVMPD told Gutierrez.
The running back's attorney denied any wrongdoing for his client in a statement to the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Vinny Bonsignore, saying that Jacobs has not been charged and will be entering a not guilty plea.

Fox 5's Kevin Bolinger reported Monday that Jacobs was released from custody and has a court appearance set for March.
According to police, the accident took place at 4:42 AM and police suspected impairment. Jacobs was taken to a local hospital to be checked out. He has been released from custody and has a court appearance set for March 8th.

The Raiders released a statement to Gutierrez on Monday, saying they are aware of the situation and wouldn't be commenting further.

Jacobs had 15 carries for 89 yards and two touchdowns in the Raiders' 32-31 win over the Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon.
