Raiders deny Josh Jacobs trade rumors

Rumors have been swirling all throughout the NFL that former Alabama Crimson Tide running back, Josh Jacobs, may be available for trades for the Raiders. The Raiders declined to pick up Jacobs’s fifth-year option this off-season, making him a free agent after the 2022 season.

NFL Network reporter, Ian Rapoport, doesn’t think that Jacobs’ will be going anywhere anytime soon saying, “The Raiders are not trying to trade Josh Jacobs. He is their best running back and rarely do you see teams trade away their best player at any position.”

Jacobs is only owed a little over two million dollars this season, which isn’t much of a hit at all for the team.

The Raiders used their No. 24 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft to select Jacobs, and he has been a massive hit so far. Through three seasons in Las Vegas, Jacobs has 732 carries 3087 yards for 4.2 yards per carry and 28 touchdowns.

It will be interesting to see how the Raiders handle Jacobs in the coming months.
