Raiders CB wonders if Browns' J.C. Tretter being president of NFLPA contributed to postponement

There were players on teams that didn't have a COVID-19 outbreak that weren't happy their games this week were postponed.

The NFL postponed three games due to COVID-19 outbreaks on the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Rams and Washington Football Team. The Browns will play the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday, and the Rams-Seattle Seahawks and WFT-Philadelphia Eagles games were moved to Tuesday.

Not everyone was happy. The most specific criticism came from Raiders cornerback Casey Hayward, who wondered if the Browns were given a break because J.C. Tretter, the NFLPA president, is Cleveland's center.

Other players, like Raiders LB K.J. Wright and Seahawks S Quandre Diggs, were upset too.

The postponement will allow players from the Browns, Rams and WFT to be cleared. All three of those teams had more than 20 players on the COVID-19 list.

There were plenty of debates about the NFL's words during the summer about possible postponements. A memo sent over the summer said there wouldn't be postponements due to a team losing multiple players at a certain position, though the league did allow for the possibility of moving a game due to medical reasons.
