Raiders CB Trayvon Mullen sees big jump in new Madden NFL 21 ratings

There hasn’t been much to sing about with regard to the Raiders defense this season. A pretty clear bright spot, however, is second-year cornerback Trayvon Mullen.

The 40th overall pick in the 2019 draft, didn’t get his first start until midway through his rookie season. He took a few games to acclimate and over the final few games he play well enough to go into this season as team’s top cornerback.

This season he’s played like it. And his Madden NFL 21 rating is reflecting that.

Mullen was given an 80 rating in the new Madden NFL 21 ratings. That still puts him at 42nd among cornerbacks, but if you consider 75 would have him at 80th at his position, you see it’s no small thing.

Mullen’s five-point jump is easily the biggest of any Raiders defender. And it makes him the highest rated player on the Raiders defense. That top spot used to belong to Lamarcus Joyner, but he has seen his rating drop three points since the rating were first released and now sits at 79.

The biggest overall jump on the team belongs to Darren Waller whose rating went up six points since their first release.
