Raiders blow 17-0 lead, lose to Jaguars 27-20

It happened once again. The Raiders started the game extremely hot, scoring 17-straight points to open the game. But they weren’t able to figure out a way to put away a bad team. Instead, the Jaguars would go on to outscore the Raiders 27-3 the rest of the game and would ultimately get the win at home.

The Raiders had plenty of chances to win this game, but the offense stalled in the second half. The defense couldn’t get a stop as Trevor Lawrence carved them up in the secondary. Not only did he beat them threw the air, but he also added 54 yards on the ground and used his legs to help extend drives.

The Raiders drop another game and now sit at 2-6 after eight games. They are firmly out of the playoff race in the AFC and now are in legitimate contention for the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. This was their third loss this season where they held a 17+ point lead and lost.

Needless to say, this season has gone from bad to worse for the Raiders.
