Raiders beat Steelers 26-17 in huge Week 2 game

After a dramatic Week 1 win over the Ravens, the Raiders traveled to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers in Week 2. It was a game in which the Raiders were on short rest and they had several injuries on both sides of the ball.

The play of the game for the Raiders was a 61-yard touchdown to Henry Ruggs. That gave the Raiders a 23-14 lead with less than 10 minutes left on the clock.

Pittsburgh did get a field goal to close the game to 26-17, but a big play to Darren Waller essentially sealed the game for Las Vegas. It allowed the Raiders to burn most of the clock and kick a field goal to give the team a two-score lead.

Derek Carr had another huge game, throwing for nearly 400 yards. He did so without both starting offensive guards and Alex Leatherwood, who left at halftime due to an oblique injury. It was another strong performance by the quarterback without a proven offensive line.

The Raiders will host the Miami Dolphins in Week 3 after another 2-0 start. That’s quite the start for Jon Gruden and his team.
