Mostert joins Jim Brown in unique club after 80-yard TD run originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea
Mostert became the second player to have a 75-yard receiving touchdown and a 75-plus yard rushing touchdown in the first two games of a season.
The first? None other than Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown.
#49ers RB Raheem Mostert is second player in NFL history with a 75-yard Rush TD and 75-yard Rec TD in his team’s first two games of a season. The other? Jim Brown in 1963. (His were in the same game (Week 1). Per @EliasSports.— Nick Wagoner (@nwagoner) September 20, 2020
Mostert took the first handoff of the game all the way to the house Sunday, showing off his breakaway speed as he raced around the edge.
He finished the first half with 92 rushing yards and the TD, although he didn't return for the second half because of a knee injury. Given Mostert's importance to their offense, the 49ers have to hope it's nothing serious.
