Rachael Ray opened up on Monday about last month’s fire that destroyed her home in upstate New York. The celebrity chef shared personal footage of the aftermath on the “Rachael Ray Show,” during which she also discussed fire safety.
Dolphins players respond to Cam Newton's Instagram on postgame scuffle originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton's latest Instagram post has drawn multiple responses from Miami Dolphins players in the aftermath of Sunday's Week 1 game at Gillette Stadium. Shortly after the Patriots wrapped up a 21-11 win, Newton and a few Dolphins players appeared to get into a bit of a scuffle on the field. Newton had to be separated from his opponents and was visibly agitated by what had happened.
It's forbidden — and expensive — for coaches to use cell phones during games. Raiders coach Jon Gruden, however, won't be making an involuntary contribution to the charity of the NFL's choice for using a cell phone while leaving the field after the first half of Sunday's game at Carolina. According to the NFL, Gruden was conducting a two-question interview with the sideline reporter.
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow tends to make headlines with whatever he does after standing as the draft's top pick and performing well enough over the summer to earn the starting job right out of the gates. Case in point, Burrow rocking a smooth fit as he entered Paul Brown Stadium for his first NFL start. Fittingly, the look featured smooth implementation of purple and yellow for LSU just a few hours after the LSU Tigers themselves released an amazing hype video about Burrow's first NFL start.
Justin Thomas has led the backlash against the LPGA, accusing the organisation of “costing” fellow American Nelly Korda victory in the season's second major by trying to please a sponsor. Korean Mirim Lee beat Korda and Canadian Brooke Henderson on the first hole of a play-off at the Ana Inspiration on Sunday night, but by then the purists were already in full cry about the ludicrous scenario on the par-five 18th. The last at the famous Mission Hill course in Palm Springs features an “island green”, but in its wisdom, the LPGA elected to place a huge advertising hoarding across the back of the putting surface.
Rivera's reasoning for fourth down call is nearly as good as play itself originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington Ron Rivera's decision to go for it on fourth down in the fourth quarter of Sunday's opener very much helped Washington win in Week 1. That may not be the only Sunday that brave call impacts, though. After taking over near midfield with the score tied at 17, the hosts drove all the way down to the Eagles' four-yard line.
The first weekend of the NFL was marked by widespread social justice activism as a lack of fan interest led to a near-record ratings collapse. More than four years after Colin Kaepernick became better known for bending his knee than his elbow, players across the league knelt, linked arms, or remained in their locker rooms during the national anthem. In other instances, whole teams remained in the locker room until after Star-Spangled Banner and Lift Every Voice and Sing, sometimes referred to as the black anthem.
Mike McCarthy lost his debut as coach of the Dallas Cowboys in part because of a curious fourth-down decision that didn't work. Dak Prescott's pass to rookie receiver CeeDee Lamb covered 2 yards on fourth-and-3 when a short field goal could have pulled Dallas even in the fourth quarter of a 20-17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Now the Cowboys (0-1) will see whether a short-term loss can turn into a long-term gain, starting Sunday in their home opener against Atlanta (0-1).
Yet, Milwaukee didn't even pay the luxury tax to build the best possible team. That looks especially suspect after the Bucks' second-round flameout against the Heat. So, in perhaps a last–ditch effort, Milwaukee is scrambling to impress Antetokounmpo.
Patriots coach Bill Belichick rarely if ever criticizes his players publicly. Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians has shown time and again that he won't shy away from doing so. “One was a miscommunication between he and Mike [Evans],” Arians told reporters after the loss to New Orleans.
The Houston Rockets are keeping Daryl Morey as GM and remain all-in on small-ball (in part because James Harden wants it). Mike D'Antoni is gone in Houston, and he is leaving behind some serious challenges in Houston. The next coach is going to have to deal with Harden as he nears free agency (2022), getting Russell Westbrook to play within his skill set, and a roster that needs more perimeter defenders if they are going without much rim protection.
Eagles fans roasting own team after ugly Week 1 loss originally appeared on NBC Sports Philadelphia The Eagles' 27-17 loss to Washington on Sunday was an embarrassing collapse worthy of the Chip Kelly days, a bad showing which stung even worse after the Eagles got fans' hopes up with a red-hot first quarter. And 2020 has been a weird year on all fronts, but the collective post-game social media outburst from Eagles fans was about as normal as things have been since March.
Nyheim Hines, RB, Indianapolis Colts (18 percent rostered) Remember how Philip Rivers loved to throw to Austin Ekeler and the other running backs when he was the Chargers starting quarterback? Guess what happened in his first start as Indianapolis' new QB. Marlon Mack looked like he was on his way to a big day before sadly left with an injury, and to the dismay of all of Jonathan Taylor's fantasy managers, Nyheim Hines showed out: 7 rushes, 28 yards, 1 TD; 8 targets, 8 catches, 45 yards, 1 TD, which resulted in an unexpected 23.30 fantasy points.
The Baltimore Ravens got a steal of a player when they traded for cornerback Marcus Peters last season. Not only did he cost Baltimore just a fifth-round pick and linebacker Kenny Young, Peters came to town on a relatively cheap deal and immediately made the Ravens' defense better. Just a few days after Peters and Baltimore beat the Cleveland Browns in Week 16 of the 2019 season, the Ravens inked their cornerback to a three-year extension.
For the first time since 2013, the Seattle Seahawks have claimed a 1-0 start to the season with a road opener to kick off the year. Seattle traveled south to Atlanta and torched the Dirty Birds to the tune of 38-25 in front of a raucous crowd of artificially generated fan noise. The game was never really as close as the final score might have indicated, as the Falcons earned a few garbage scores late with the Seahawks shifting into cruise control.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo had a chance to play the hero Sunday. With the 49ers trailing by four points, Garoppolo had an opportunity to lead a game-winning drive late. As the 49ers got close to the goal line, Garoppolo had two passes broken up by Arizona Cardinals defenders.

Running backs to target on waiver wire Nyheim Hines, Indianapolis Colts (20% rostered) Entering the year, Hines had already established himself as one of the league's most reliable backfield receiving options. He delivered 107 receptions on 139 targets over his first two pro seasons. On Sunday, he added another eight catches to that career total.

The Houston Texans' new offensive philosophy for 2020 was to run the offense through quarterback Deshaun Watson's decision-making. Set him up with a variety of offensive weapons, and let the two-time Pro Bowler determine where the ball should go. It was a risky move, but it was the direction the Texans went in during the offseason.
