Professional football has returned for the 2021 season.

There will be weekly Thursday Night Football games on Fox (WNYW-5 in New York) and NFL Network. American Football Conference games primarily air on CBS (WCBS-2 in New York). National Football Conference games primarily air on Fox (WNYW-5 in New York). Sunday Night Football returns to NBC (WNBC-4 in New York). Monday Night Football airs on ESPN.

NBC can flex out Sunday Night Football games during the latter half of the NFL season. Fox and CBS will flex games into the late-afternoon (4:25 p.m.) slot as the season develops.

In the New York market, local fans will be assigned the Jets and Giants games. A "doubleheader" game will air most Sundays on CBS and Fox.

Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are the lead Fox Sports announce pairing, Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth on NBC, Jim Nantz and Tony Romo on CBS and Steve Levy with Brian Griese and Louis Riddick on ESPN.

On many weeks, ESPN2 has an alternate Monday Night Football broadcast with Peyton Manning and Eli Manning providing light commentary with guests.

The New York Giants radio network has WFAN 660-AM, 101.9-FM as its flagship station. Bob Papa, Carl Banks and Howard Cross are the announcers.

The New York Jets radio network has WEPN 98.7-FM as its flagship station. Bob Wischusen and Marty Lyons are the announcers. A Spanish broadcast is available on WQBU 92.7-FM.

The Canadian Football League returns Thursday after COVID shut down the entire 2020 season. The CFL starts regular-season play in the summer, though it's about a month later than usual. Using the TSN feed from Canada, ESPN2 and ESPNews will broadcast 17 games in the United States, and the subscription streaming service ESPN+ will present the rest.
