Prince Harry Allegedly Found Out the Queen Had Died by Reading Online Reports

Despite previous claims that King Charles told Prince Harry of the Queen's passing five minutes before the public found out, multiple palace sources tell Page Six that the Duke of Sussex found out about the death of his beloved grandmother "by reading online reports."

The outlet spoke to one "highly placed Buckingham Palace" source who said Harry was called to Scotland in the morning when news of the Queen's poor health broke—but another insider added that "no one from the royal family, or any courtiers, actually called Harry to tell him of the monarch’s death."

Meghan and Harry remained in England throughout the royal mourning period leading up to the Queen's funeral, and one source notes “I think that how Harry and Meghan showed up in the past few days shows they were only hoping to do the right thing and right by everyone.” A source also confirms that Prince William and Prince Harry "did talk at family dinners and gatherings," though it's unclear if they mended fences.

FYI that Page Six's report conflicts with previous reporting from The Telegraph, who claimed King Charles told Harry that his grandmother had died “five minutes before Buckingham Palace released the official announcement,” when Harry was midair on a flight.

“Everybody was trying to get where they needed to be,” a source said. “That was the focus. And the King was adamant that the official statement must not be released until all members of the family had been informed. That was a father talking because he cares.”
