Pride in Geauga event coming June 25

Jun. 23—Pride in Geauga will honor and celebrate sexual orientation and gender identity diversity from noon to 5 p.m. June 25 at Century Village in Burton.

Hosted by Geauga SOGI Support Network, this family event will feature live music, catered food, family entertainment such as a magician, balloon sculptor, aerial performers and outdoor activities for all ages, according to a news release.

Over 25 local and regional resources serving LGBTQ+ will provide information, the release stated. The exhibitors include Free Mom Hugs, medical providers, mental health support, advocacy organizations, affirming churches, and other pertinent resources.

All are encouraged to attend, learn and show support, and surrounding counties are invited to join, the release stated. Century Village, part of the Geauga Historical Society, is a spacious property with walking trails just south of Burton Square, 14653 E. Park St. Parking is available on the grounds.

Supportive vendors will show their products, according to the release.

Geauga SOGI Support Network a nonprofit whose mission is engaging with individuals, families, and friends to embrace sexual orientation and gender identity through collaboration, education, and advocacy. They provide support groups for youth and adults, and training for the community and organizations.
