PREP VOLLEYBALL: Top-ranked Addison captures North Super Regional title
Oct. 27—Another North Super Regional in Huntsville, another North Super Regional title for Addison's volleyball team.
The Class 1A No. 1 Bulldogs took down No. 2 Spring Garden in a five-set thriller (25-23, 16-25, 20-25, 25-20, 15-10) before defeating Sumiton Christian in three sets (25-16, 25-14, 25-16) to secure the program's 11th super regional crown in 12 years and improve to 41-8 on the season.
"Today was huge for us," Addison coach Kaydi Woodard said. "We knew Spring Garden was going to be tough and they absolutely were. I'm proud of my girls for stepping up and adapting to every change that I asked them to make. We grew as a team today. Now, we have to get our game plan together and prepare for next week."
Addison will play Elba in the first round of the state tournament next Wednesday at noon.
The Bulldogs are seeking their fourth straight state title and 15th overall.
