Prep standout forward Priyanka Ponnam offered by Rutgers women’s basketball
Priyanka Ponnam was offered by Rutgers women’s basketball this week as the Scarlet Knights get involved with a class of 2025 standout.
She is a solid scorer and a legitimate, elite rebounder at the George School (Newtown, PA). At 6-foot-2 Ponnam has good footwork in the post, some nice range to her shooting and is a strong defender.
According to ESPN.com, Ponnam is a three-star recruit. Last season, she was named All-Class 5A third team.
Last season, she averaged 12.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.1 blocks and 1.5 steals per game. She is an all-around elite player.
Ponnam tweeted about the offer from Rutgers on Thursday:
