PREP ROUNDUP: Cullman, Good Hope open tournament with routs

Nov. 20—Both Cullman and Good Hope bulldozed their competition on Monday night.

The Bearcats walloped Lawrence County 89-44 in the opening round of the Coach Mike Dean Turkey Shootout — the home team built a comfortable 40-8 cushion after only a quarter — while the Raiders breezed by Curry 77-36 after racing out to a 25-6 advantage following eight minutes of play.

Holly Pond, meanwhile, made quick work of Winston County (59-24) in the first round of its annual tournament — as did Hanceville against Ardmore.
