"I thought our kids really came to compete tonight," Caston coach Blake Mollenkopf said. "Winamac has a talented team, and they handled us on Tuesday in first game of the conference series. As a coaching staff, we really challenged our kids mentally and physically over the past two days. They came to the ballpark tonight and earned a nice win.

"Joey had command of four pitches tonight and kept their kids off balance. We used the changeup a lot tonight because Winamac is such an aggressive hitting team. He kept it down in the zone and executed nicely. Offensively we were really good and had timely hitting. We still had too many strikeouts but credit Hayden [Clark] from Winamac, he is a nice pitcher for them."
