Prep boys basketball: Red Devils, Cavaliers earn victories

Feb. 22—Levi Kiszka's 17 points paced Oak Hill in a 51-44 victory over Nicholas County.

Malachi Lewis added 14 points for the visiting Red Devils.

Cole Brown led the Grizzlies with 16.

Pocahontas County 53

Braydon McClung scored half of his team's total with 40 points and Greenbrier West closed out the regular season with an 80-53 victory over Pocahontas County Thursday night.

The Cavaliers also got 13 from Colton Dunbar and Tanner Hagy.

Clayton Burns, Trenton Brock and Carter Vandevender all scored 10 for the Warriors.

Shady Spring 70, Princeton 55

Class AAA No. 3 Shady Spring overcame a 19-17 deficit in the first quarter and defeated Princeton 70-55.

Ammar Maxwell scored 24 points to lead Shady, which outscored Princeton 21-9 in the second quarter. Jack Williams scored 17, Jalon Bailey 14 and Gavin Davis 10.

Princeton got 17 points from Nik Fleming and Britt Beasley. Koen Sartin added 14.
