Greater Beckley Christian 80, 2OT

Independence overcame a four-point third quarter to score 24 in the fourth and outlasted Greater Beckley Christian 81-80 in double overtime Friday in Coal City.

The Patriots got a game-high 26 points from Ethan Williams. Sylas Nelson followed with 21 and Ashton Arthur had 18.

The Crusaders were led by Averyk Woodson with 25 points. Keegan Davidson added 17, Aaron Hall 16 and Isaiah Kincaid 14.

Both teams will play in Greater Beckley's MLK Classic on Monday, Indy (3-6) will take on West Logan Christian at 5:30 p.m. The Crusaders will play Liberty at 7:30 p.m.

James Monroe 73,

Pocahontas County 40

dunmore — Four players scored in double figures as James Monroe defeated host Pocahontas County 73-40.

Layton Dowdy and Ryan Mann both scored 13, while Wil Boggess and Cooper Ridgeway each added 12.

Dillon Dunz scored a game-high 24 for the Warriors.

The Mavericks (6-2) will host Summers County on Tuesday.

Wyoming East 39, Summers County 33

Bryson Huff scored 10 points in a low-scoring affair as Wyoming East defeated Summers County 39-33.

Brandan Issac led Summers with 17 points, seven rebounds and six steals. Ryan Oliveros added 11 points.

The Warriors will host rival Westside Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The Bobcats will visit James Monroe on Tuesday.

Greenbrier West 82, Richwood 49

charmco — Brayden McClung scored 22 points and Greenbrier West defeated Richwood 82-49.

Tanner Hagy added 19 for the Cavaliers, who led 50-18 at halftime.

The Lumberjacks got 18 from Trae Trivolette and 10 from Dalton Spencer.

West (4-3) will host Independence on Tuesday. Richwood (1-9) will be visited by Bath County, Va., on Monday.

Nicholas County 59,

Midland Trail 54

summersville — Ethan Collins scored 18 points and Trey Stump added 13 as Nicholas County took down Midland Trail 59-54.

The Patriots got 17 each from Justin Cooper and Eli Campbell.

The Grizzlies (5-5) will host PikeView on Tuesday. Trail (7-2) will welcome Summers County on Friday.

Webster County 66,

Roane County 59

upper glade — Rayden Triplett and Logan Leichliter both had 18 points as Webster County got back in the win column, 66-59 over visiting Roane County.

Triplett also had five steals for the Highlanders, who lost to James Monroe last weekend after winning their first six games. Riley Clevenger had 11 points, Zach McCourt seven rebounds and five assists and Ashton Moll seven boards.

Cam Cumpston scored a game-high 30 points and had eight of Roane County's 11 3-pointers. Shaun Caldwell and Will Odle both had 10 points.

Webster will visit Braxton County on Monday.


Meadow Bridge 46,

Greater Beckley Christian 32

Kierston Rozell had her second straight 18-point game and Meadow Bridge defeated host Greater Beckley Christian 46-32 for its fourth straight victory.

Riley Roberts added eight points and Lily Hayes seven for the Wildcats (7-3), who will host Richwood Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Leah Adkins scored 14 and Oliva Price 12 for the Crusaders, who will host Mountain Mission, Va., Monday at 2 p.m. in the MLK Classic.

Grace Christian 49,

Victory Baptist 26

Sydney Cicenas scored a game-high 27 points as Grace Christian turned back Victory Baptist 49-26.Jenna Tanner added 11 for the Soldiers.

Grace Ward scored 10, Kaydan Mooney eight and Jada O'Neal six for the Saints (3-9), who will host Calvary Baptist on Monday.
