PREP BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Elkmont girls get by Wilson

Nov. 10—ELKMONT — Thea Hamlin led four Elkmont players in double figures with a game-high 16 points as the Red Devils picked up a 60-45 win over Wilson in girls basketball on Thursday.

Darby Davis (15), Savannah Williams (11) and Mackenzie Donor (10) also scored in double figures for the Red Devils, who led 28-17 at halftime.

Ana Simone led Wilson with 15 points and Grace Gibson scored 11.

Elkmont (3-1) continues play Friday at Cold Springs.

Huntsville girls 40, Austin 33: Maniya Dean had a team-high 16 points for Austin on Thursday.

Decatur Heritage girls 71, Oakwood Adventist 46: Genie Mcghee had 14 points and 11 assists to lead Decatur Heritage to a big win on Tuesday.

Katelyn Cooper and Leslie Hames had 13 points each for the Eagles, while Bri Tyson scored 10.

Elkmont girls 42, Whitesburg Christian 12: Elkmont dominated defensively in a win on Tuesday, holding Whitesburg Christian scoreless in the first and third quarters to earn the win.

Hamlin had 15 points and seven rebounds to lead the Red Devils, while Donor added 10 points. Nyla Parker finished with five points and 10 rebounds.

Decatur Heritage girls 78, Tanner 19: Hames had a game-high 15 points to lead Decatur Heritage on Monday.

Emma Eastman added 10 points for the Eagles, who led 48-12 at halftime.
