PREP BASEBALL: Westville rallies to beat South Vermillion

Apr. 18—WESTVILLE — The Westville baseball team was in a battle with South Vermillion on Thursday, but was able to get the last laugh.

With the bases loaded, Westville batter Drew Wichtowski was hit by a pitch, driving in the winning run and giving the Tigers a 8-7 win.

Cameron Steinbaugh had a home run and two RBIs for Westville, while Wichtowski had two RBIs, Cade Schaumburg had two hits and a RBI, Zach Russell and Easton Bolin each had two hits and Ben Johnson and Matt Darling each had one RBI.

Easton Barney had two strikeouts in three relief innings to get the win for the Tigers, who are 14-31 and will face Armstrong-Potomac on Friday.
