Ashley Tisdale and husband Christopher French are expecting a baby girl. The former High School Musical star on Friday shared several snapshots of the couple cutting into a cake.
Trailing the Ravens 27-0 on Sunday, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor sent his field goal team on the field with 37 seconds left to avoid a shutout and lose 27-3. Ravens defensive coordinator Don “Wink” Martindale was not amused. Asked today for his reaction to that field goal, Martindale said Taylor knows his reaction because he was screaming at Taylor across the field for what Martindale considered a bush league move.
The Lakers never found a third star around LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Which means the Lakers have plenty of moveable pieces if a star becomes available. “Chris Paul would love to come back to L.A. I know it would be a dream come true for Chris,” an Eastern Conference executive said.
Ever since Washington quarterback Dwayne Haskins was benched a little over a week ago, a bunch of rumors have been swirling, including the idea that the team has been desperately trying to trade away the former first-round pick, and that the second-year QB asked for a trade. While none of those rumors have been confirmed, that doesn't stop an of us from speculating on what might happen and trying to drum up some of our favorite trade scenarios. Earlier this week, we pondered his teams in the NFL would give Haskins the brightest future, allowing him to develop and grow in a structured environment with a veteran quarterback ahead of him.
The Tennessee Titans notched their fourth win of the season on Tuesday night in impressive fashion against the Buffalo Bills, but perhaps the most memorable moment from the game came when Derrick Henry delivered a mean stiff-arm to Buffalo Bills cornerback, Josh Norman. The play solicited quite the reaction from Twitter, and it has led to some fantastic memes, but what's even better is the reactions of Henry's Titans teammates on the sideline shortly after the play happened. Thanks to “Inside the NFL” we got a look and listen at how Titans players reacted to Henry tossing Norman into another zip code.
Last winter, the team viewed Gregorius as a winning player who had simply lost too much of his first-step quickness. Given the extent to which some Yankee fans appear to be clamoring for Gregorius to return, this seems worth teasing out a bit and explaining. Gregorius was always a subject of some debate between the analytics folks in the organization, who liked him less than the scouting wing (that's a reductive framing, because most people on both “sides” of this “divide” are multi-dimensional thinkers, but works for this summary discussion of the dynamic).
The Boston Celtics' roster ain't broke, but it still may need some fixing. The Celtics rode a talented core to Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown made the leap to stardom, while Kemba Walker, Gordon Hayward, Marcus Smart and Daniel Theis gave Boston a top six that rivaled few in the league.
Beardless Jumbo looks years younger as he joins Swiss team originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea As if 2020 couldn't get any weirder, Sharks legend Joe Thornton still is not sporting his famous beard. Thornton, who currently is a free agent, is taking time before his next venture and is returning to play for HC Davos, part of the Swiss National League. He has his offseason home in Switzerland.
Bobby Wagner won't retire until his wish is granted originally appeared on NBC Sports Northwest You may have noticed, even though it was really hard to miss, the Seattle Seahawks sporting their 'Action Green' uniforms last Sunday against the visiting Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football. At the beginning of the 2016 season, Nike and the NFL unveiled new 'color rush' uniforms for all 32 teams. Seattle was the only combination that featured bright green from shoulder to toe.
Rajon Rondo and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope stepped up for the Lakers in the NBA Finals. The guards now have that championship shine. Rondo is taking advantage by opting out.
Now, Howard is an NBA champion who played solidly for the Lakers all season. He accepted and played a role as a defender and rebounder — with no offense run for him — he had resisted at previous stops. That play has earned him options this offseason — the Lakers want to bring Howard back, but there will be other suitors as well.
The Buffalo Bills were scheduled to take on the Kansas Chiefs for a Thursday night matchup to kick off Week 6. Because the Bills were supposed to play the Chiefs a mere two days later, the NFL moved that matchup to next Monday, October 19 at 5:00 pm EST for our third Monday night doubleheader. It's hard to blame Bell for wanting to sign with the reigning Super Bowl champs, even it comes at the expense of future production for rookie RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
Occasionally, sports fans with money to burn find the opportunity to buy the ultimate piece of memorabilia — a championship ring. Rarely does that chance arrive this soon. Less than two months after the Kansas City Chiefs were awarded their Super Bowl rings, one is up for auction.
Gregg Popovich just bagged $3 million for his mansion in San Antonio, the city where he led the San Antonio Spurs to five NBA championships over the last 24 years. The sale was a multi-year effort for Popovich, who first asked $4.5 million in 2018 before eventually trimming the tag to $3.1 million over the summer. The 2.6-acre spread is tucked in a gated neighborhood within a gated neighborhood, so there's plenty of privacy.

The implosion of rookie Kyle Wright in Game 3, in which the Dodgers walloped the 25-year-old for seven runs, looks like a blip in comparison to the overall performances of their rookie starters both in this series and since the beginning of the playoffs. On Thursday night, the Dodgers were manhandled by prospect Bryse Wilson. The 22-year-old entered the game having spent most of the regular season with the team's squad of alternates relearning how to deploy the two-seam fastball.
Paul's hamstring injury in 2018 cost the Rockets their best chance at a championship, but the relationship soured, and Morey pulled the trigger on a deal that stretched the odds of Harden winning a ring in Houston thinner than LaMelo Ball. There is some question as to who bears most responsibility for trading Paul for Russell Westbrook. Based on everything we know, logic would suggest Morey and D'Antoni favored Paul, while Harden and Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta pushed for Westbrook.
Since James' last title with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016, the Golden State Warriors superteam and Los Angeles Lakers rebuilding project caused him to go four-plus years without a championship. Poor guy. So when James was reunited with the trophy on Sunday, it was bound to be a fun time for him.
NASCAR officials indicated Friday that Kyle Larson applied for reinstatement earlier this week. Larson's NASCAR membership was suspended April 13, one day after his use of a racial slur during an iRacing event. Chip Ganassi Racing fired the 28-year-old driver on April 14, later tapping Matt Kenseth to replace him in the No.
It appears Mickelson has $9 million reasons – well, kind of. “Even if I beat all 78 guys, it would still be a letdown,” Mickelson said Thursday at Country Club of Virginia. While the comment was made tongue in cheek, Mickelson believes his road to Augusta best goes through Richmond, Virginia, where he will make his second career PGA Tour Champions start beginning Friday at the Dominion Energy Charity Classic.
The three most important players on the Browns' offense are all questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers. Cleveland listed quarterback Baker Mayfield and receivers Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. as questionable. Mayfield has been dealing with a chest injury, Landry hurt his ribs and hip, and Beckham has been out with an illness.
