The Vikings are entering a crucial matchup against the Chargers on Sunday. Minnesota, at 3-5, desperately needs a victory to help get its season back on track.

With their upcoming game against the Packers in Week 11, the Vikings have a difficult slate, and the team can’t afford too many more defeats. Minnesota needs upsets if it has any hope of salving its 2021.

Here are three predictions for the Week 10 game:

I weirdly feel like the Vikings will win this game. Minnesota definitely needs to — the team is in free fall at 3-5 overall. The Vikings will throw everything they have at a Chargers team that hasn’t been top tier for nearly long enough. Vikings 28, Chargers 21.

Sitting atop the AFC West, the Chargers return home and win this game after Herbert throws for three touchdowns and the defense does enough to put the Vikings to bed.

Sitting at 3-5, this is desperation mode for the Vikings. In order to get it done, they need cohesion and consistency of offense along with stopping the potent Chargers offense. I think they can do it, but not for four quarters. The Chargers have too much firepower for the Vikings and they win a close one. Chargers 31, Vikings 27
