ATLANTA- After a weekend off, Georgia Tech's football team returned to the practice fields on Monday in full pads. Head coach Paul Johnson said his team looked refreshed after the break as the get ready to open ACC play with Pittsburgh on Saturday in Bobby Dodd Stadium.
"It was okay, it was good to get back out there after a couple of days off," Johnson said. "It is great to be back in a regular routine."
Starting quarterback TaQuon Marshall said he and his fellow teammates were able to get back in the groove quickly in practice especially with a team like Pittsburgh coming to Atlanta after the way the last two games against the Panthers went.
"You always want to shake the rust off and I think we got out there and played pretty fast today," Marshall said. "They've beat us on last second field goals the last two years and I think that left a bitter taste in our mouths. We are ready to get back out there, play hard and hopefully put the game away early."
QUOTE OF THE DAY: "To be honest I love 12 o'clock games because you wake up early and you get to play. That is an advantage for us. The other team has to go against that triple option with all those cuts early in the morning. You know guys don't want to because they are just waking up and go against cuts early in the morning," senior A-back J.J. Green
