ATLANTA- Georgia Tech's football team enjoyed lovely weather as fall tempartures blanketed the city on Wednesday. Head coach Paul Johnson said his Jackets players are focused on improving themselves and gearing up for Miami next weekend.

"It was okay, we got to work on some problem areas," Johnson said of Wednesday's practice. "We worked on some special teams and some one-minute defense and different stuff."

When asked if the timing was good or bad for the bye coming off back-to-back ACC wins, Johnson said only time will tell.

"You never know when you have bye weeks if they are good or bad. We've got some guys hurt and beat up and I think we will get them back. That's good, but you also lose some continuity and some routine which in our world is big. Everyone likes to be in a routine," Johnson said.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "We are more together than ever since I've been here in my five years," senior safety Corey Griffin said of the team overall. "When the offense turns the ball over, the defense goes, 'we got you' and get the ball right back. Things like that. We don't ever hold our heads down, let's get a stop and get the ball back in the offense's hands."
