Powerlifting: Jacksonville boys and girls win team titles at JHS Tri-Meet

Feb. 12—Powerlifting squads from Jacksonville High School won both divisions of the Jacksonville Tri-Meet, which was held Thursday.

The Tribe iron men finished with 48 points to edge Palestine, who tallied 46 points, with Rusk lifters collecting 30 points.

Winning first pace in six of the nine weight classes, the Maidens breezed to victory by chalking up 57 points.

Palestine (28) finished second while Rusk ended the day with 26 points.
